Seven-Star Skeletorj Event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: Details and Solo Strategy The new seven-star Skeletorz event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is live from March 7 to March 13, 2025. During this one-week event, players can catch this special Skeletorz. Note that only one Skeletorz can be caught in each save file, but you can earn valuable items by playing this raid repeatedly.
How to access the event
To attend the event:
- Go to the menu screen .
- Select Poke Portal .
- Go to Mystery Gifts and select the Check Poke Portal News option.
This process will update your map, making the seven-star Terra Den appear on your map. Skeletorz’s Terra Type is Fire, so look for the Fire Terra Type Den.
Solo strategy against Skeletorz: Use Kommo-O
Kommo-O is an effective choice for playing solo against Skeletorz. Below is his recommended build:
- Terra Type : Ground
- Held Item : Shell Bell
- Level : 100
- Ivies : Hyper Trended
- Ability : Bulletproof
- EV Spread : 252 Attack, 252 Special Defense, remaining in HP
- Nature : Adamant
Moveset
- Throat Chop : Obtained from DLC TM (blocks sound-based attacks)
- Screech : Lowers opponent’s defense
- Bulldoze : Ground-type move
- Earthquake : Powerful ground-type move
Strategy
- Beginning : At the beginning of the raid, Skeletorz will use Disarming Voice and Flame Charge. Kommo-O’s Bulletproof ability provides protection from Shadow Ball.
- Use Throat Chop : Use Throat Chop every other turn to stop Skeletor’s sound-based attacks (e.g. Torch Song, Hyper Voice).
- Using Screech : Use Screech in between Throat Chop to lower Skeletor’s defense. Try to use three screeches before the shield goes up.
- Terrastalization : After the shield is up, Terrastalize into Ground Terra type and use Earthquake. This will deal more damage.
- Note : Skeletor’s ability is Unaware, which ignores your stat boosts. So, don’t use stat boosting moves.
Potential Challenges
- Partner Pokémon : If your partner Pokémon is Olivia, her Grassy Terrain can reduce the effect of your Earthquake. In such a case, exit the raid and try again.
- Screech Accuracy : Screech has low accuracy, which can cause it to miss sometimes. So, use it carefully.
